Last night’s premiere of the third season of La Voz Kids – one of the most popular programs in Spanish-language television – marked the start of year two of VISIT FLORIDA’s highly successful partnership with the Telemundo Station Group to reach targeted U.S. Hispanic audiences. VISIT FLORIDA is partnering with Visit Orlando and the United States Tennis Association to promote a new state-of-the-art tennis facility being built in the Lake Nona area of Orlando, and the city’s overall draw as the new home for American tennis. As part of the U.S. college football kickoff weekend, VISIT FLORIDA partnered with Visit Orlando and Hertz to host our annual Irish Summer Event in Dublin. This year, 18 key tour operators, airline representatives and travel media attended our American football tailgate party during the University of Central Florida versus Penn State game held at Croke Park. The reception, held in a private skybox at the stadium, provided VISIT FLORIDA and our Partners with a unique, festive opportunity to share what makes Florida such a great place to visit in the Fall and all year long. From A to (almost) Z, VISIT FLORIDA PR staff and four of our industry Partners met with top journalists in the Washington, D.C. area earlier this month. The mission was four days of non-stop one-on-one meetings with national and international press. A team at AOL Travel, which recently linked up with MapQuest, welcomed Visit Jacksonville & the Beaches, Visit Orlando, The Florida Keys & Key West and Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau to its offices near Dulles International Airport to discuss possible story needs from the Sunshine State.
