I am pleased to announce that VISIT FLORIDA was named the 2014 State Tourism Office of the Year during last night’s Southeast Tourism Society Shining Example Awards banquet.  The awards ceremony, held annually to salute achievements in tourism, was part of the Southeast Tourism Society Fall Forum in Charleston, SC. This week, VISIT FLORIDA staff participated in the Southeast Tourism Society 2013 Fall Forum held at the Omni Hotel in Jacksonville.  In addition to serving as the host state this year, VISIT FLORIDA partnered with Visit Jacksonville to host a reception and silent auction on the trade show floor.  Over 180 people attended the conference and interacted with peers across the twelve southern states that comprise the STS.
