During last evening’s PromaxBDA Local Awards gala at The Mirage in Las Vegas, VISIT FLORIDA and NBCUniversal Skycastle won silver in the On-Air Commercial Advertisement category for our “Mi Sol es tu Sol” spot. Last night’s premiere of the third season of La Voz Kids – one of the most popular programs in Spanish-language television – marked the start of year two of VISIT FLORIDA’s highly successful partnership with the Telemundo Station Group to reach targeted U.S. Hispanic audiences. Tomorrow morning, millions of Americans will watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, the first of several treasured Thanksgiving rituals. On the same day, more than two million Americans of Latino heritage also will be watching TV, hearing stories of Jamestown and Plymouth … and of another Thanksgiving 56 years previous, in St. Augustine.
