In partnership with the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association (FRLA) and the Department of State’s Florida Main Street Program, VISIT FLORIDA has begun including these historic Florida communities on the Florida Attractions Finder – a popular online tool where visitors can personalize their Florida experience. Today, the Partnership for Florida’s Tourism unveiled its newly revamped website TourismWorksforFlorida.org. The site, previously known as Florida’s Tourism Counts, includes an advocacy toolkit, an upcoming news and events section with dates for delegation meetings, Florida Tourism Day and National Travel & Tourism Week, and details on how to contact elected officials and track tourism-related legislation. Yesterday, the Partnership for Florida’s Tourism and five other statewide organizations hosted the industry’s annual Florida Tourism Day. This all-day event at the Florida Capitol provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the state’s No. 1 industry to the legislature and to educate them on the rationale for tourism marketing public funding.
