With the start of the 2014 Hurricane Season coming up June 1, I wanted to share the resources and action steps VISIT FLORIDA has developed to ensure Florida’s visitors have access to consistent, real-time, statewide information. The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI) has announced that it will recognize VISIT FLORIDA with Gold, Silver and Bronze Adrian Awards for advertising and digital marketing excellence for its winning entries in the 54th annual Adrian Awards Competition, the largest and most prestigious travel marketing competition globally. As we previewed at Governor’s Conference, VISIT FLORIDA will host the “Great VISIT FLORIDA Beach Walk” on November 6 to clear up any doubts about the status of Florida’s beaches in the aftermath of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill. The event will bring together thousands of residents and volunteers across the state to walk their favorite mile of Florida beach and take photos proving that every one of the Sunshine State’s beaches are as pristine as ever.
