VISIT FLORIDA and 16 of our Industry Partners traveled to New York City earlier this week to share the Florida warmth with more than 40 top New York journalists, including Travel and Leisure, Frommer’s and Connexions Magazine. For three hours, attendees escaped the freezing NY weather to enjoy vibrant Florida-inspired decor, while waitstaff in beach attire served Florida specialty drinks and hors d’oeuvers, including mini key lime pies. This week in Portland, the U.S. Travel Association held its annual Educational Seminar for Tourism Organizations (ESTO) conference. During the event, the winners of the National Council of State Tourism Directors (NCSTD) 2015 Mercury Awards were announced. I am very proud to share that VISIT FLORIDA won Mercuries in two categories – the Social Media Campaign category for “Bragging Season” and the Branding and Integrated Marketing Campaign category for our “Florida Beach Finder.” Continue reading »

I am pleased to announce that the 2013-2014 VISIT FLORIDA Annual Report is now available online. This marks the fifth year we have produced the report in an interactive online format, with the opportunity to download a printable PDF version. The previous four year’s reports are also available. We hope making the annual reports available online, with links to more details through archived blog posts and other web content, will allow viewers to move more easily through the wealth of information on VISIT FLORIDA’s efforts to market the Sunshine State and serve as a thought leader for the tourism industry this past fiscal year.
