Sunshine Matters

It was a very productive week for VISIT FLORIDA, our 17 Partners in the VISIT FLORIDA stand, and other Partners in separate adjacent booths at the recent IMEX America 2013 show in Las Vegas.  IMEX America is the largest global hosted buyer exhibition for the incentive travel, meetings and events industry.  Combining the best in business opportunities, top quality education and networking events, this high-energy show offered Florida attendees endless connections with decision makers, senior buyers and exhibitors from around the U.S. and around the world.  Held annually in October, the show hosts more than 10,000 attendees, including media from 12 countries, and more than 5,200 buyers and exhibitors representing destinations, hotels and resorts, airlines, cruise lines and other travel suppliers from around the globe.

With great placement on the trade show floor, the VISIT FLORIDA stand gave the Sunshine State excellent exposure.  VISIT FLORIDA staff conducted individual and group appointments with nearly 200 buyers throughout the three-day event.  In addition, each Partner within the VISIT FLORIDA stand had appointments with other planners and buyers directly interested in their destination or property, totaling well over 1,000+ potential meetings professionals who can produce future business in the state.  We also hosted a “Happy Hour” for buyers in the VISIT FLORIDA stand, and invited planners to come network with the Florida industry in a relaxing and fun format.
