VISIT FLORIDA Research Team Releases 2012 Visitor Study

2012 Florida Visitor StudyAs the sunshine state’s official tourism marketing corporation, VISIT FLORIDA is committed to establishing Florida as the No. 1 travel destination in the world.  In order to reach this goal, we conduct extensive research on the visitors to our state, and publish them yearly in our Florida Visitor Study.  The study pulls together the most recent visitor trend data which we use to develop our marketing messages for the year.  It can also serve as an invaluable tool to our Partners and friends seeking detailed information to assist with their own marketing efforts.

The 2012 Florida Visitor Study, which offers historical context to ensure Florida’s tourism trends can easily be identified and understood, was presented during a webinar just last week and is now available online at VISITFLORIDA.org.  Using a host of detailed charts and graphs to emphasize key metrics, the report evaluates data on the travel patterns of Florida residents, as well as our domestic and overseas visitors.  To provide the most accurate and current data, VISIT FLORIDA’s Research Team seeks out highly reliable sources, including the U.S. Census Bureau, the U.S. Department of Commerce, D.K. Shifflet & Associates, VisaVue Travel, Statistics Canada,  Smith Travel Research and other independent research sources.
