  • June 16: VISIT FLORIDA President & CEO, Chris Thompson conducted an interview with BBC Radio.
  • June 17: VISIT FLORIDA President & CEO, Chris Thompson, participated in the Tallahassee Chapter of Florida Public Relations Association panel on tourism and the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill response.

MEDIA OUTREACH

  • June 17: VISIT FLORIDA issued a press release on the launch of the new television spot “More than Enough” promoting Florida beaches. http://media.visitflorida.org/news/news.php?id=128
  • June 17: VISIT FLORIDA, in conjunction with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, is promoting a weekend of free saltwater fishing the weekend of June 19-20.   • June 16: VISIT FLORIDA Corporate Communication office conducted interviews and assisted with seven media inquiries including NBC Nightly News, USA Today, the Daily Telegraph and The Hill newspaper. 
  • Since the beginning of June, VISIT FLORIDA President & CEO, Chris Thompson, has participated in dozens of media interviews with well known outlets including Fox News, CNBC, MSNBC and the BBC.
  • To date, VISIT FLORIDA Corporate Communications office has spoken with over 130 unique media outlets and responded to nearly 400 media inquires.

  • June 16: New TV spot launched promoting Florida beaches: “More Than Enough.”  The 30-second spot includes 10 second tags at the end for local county partners including Broward, Charlotte, Citrus, Collier, Dade, Hillsborough, Lee, Monroe, Sarasota, Levy, Pasco, Palm Beach and Hernando.

  • June 15: Promoted “Worry Free Reservation” Hot Deal tag opportunity via email to 2,188 lodging Partner contacts.

INTERNET OUTREACH

  • ONGOING: Florida Live @ VISIT FLORIDA.com is a consumer platform which provides webcams, real-time photos, twitter feeds and beach condition updates. To view, go to www.visitflorida.com/floridalive.  Florida Live TV launched June 1st and currently has 29 videos posted with over 88,000 views.
