Sunshine Matters

As VISIT FLORIDA begins planning our 2010-2011 program year, we are excited to enter the fourth year of our Insider program.  Originally referred to as “Experts,” this program consists of freelance journalists who generate content in a specialized topic area to appear on VISITFLORIDA.com.  They write articles, shoot videos, blog, answer visitor questions and participate in social media forums, such as Twitter and Facebook, to promote Florida and communicate with potential visitors.

The recent redesign of the VISITFLORIDA.com home page has already increased traffic to our Insiders pages by more than 40 percent.  With its continued success, we plan to expand the program for 2010-2011 from eight to ten Insiders.  The planned Insider topics for the next fiscal year are Family, Beaches, Off the Beaten Path, Sports & Adventure, Outdoors & Nature, Boating & Fishing, Dining, Entertainment & Luxury, Shopping & Smart Travel and Golf.
