VISIT FLORIDA Offers Rich Travel Planning Content Free of Charge |
I am pleased to announce that the Florida Official Transportation Map and the 2012 VISIT FLORIDA Magazine are now available. Both publications provide rich Florida travel planning content that is also available online and on mobile devices.
As the official source for travel planning, VISIT FLORIDA is proud to provide these resources free of charge as a service to visitors around the world. User-friendly print versions of publications like the Florida Official Transportation Map simply wouldn’t be possible without our generous sponsors, particularly The Beaches of Fort Myers & Sanibel.
The 2012 edition of the VISIT FLORIDA Magazine, VISIT FLORIDA’s premier travel planning publication, serves three important roles. First, as a comprehensive stand-alone magazine with articles and images highlighting activities and destinations of interest to visitors in the Sunshine State. Second, as a companion piece for the extensive content available through the award-winning VISITFLORIDA.com website. Third, as a resource for locating the rich content accessible via smartphone and other mobile devices.
Consumers will find Microsoft tags throughout both the magazine and map. Readers can snap the tag with their smartphone’s camera to see related videos, photo galleries, articles, deals and events. This is just one more way VISIT FLORIDA is making use of cutting-edge technology to provide visitors with the travel planning resources they need, at the time they want it, in the most convenient way possible.
Hard copies of the VISIT FLORIDA Magazine and the Official Florida Transportation Map are being distributed to consumers via direct request, at sales shows, in our five Official Florida Welcome Centers and by tourism industry businesses throughout the state. Tourism organizations who wish to provide the publications to their customers are invited to place bulk orders.
Consumers can obtain their complimentary copy of the magazine or map, as well as the Florida Camping Directory, by visiting www.VISITFLORIDA.com/guides. This page also includes links that allow users to browse eBooks and printable PDFs of more than a dozen other Florida travel magazines, guides and maps, and to subscribe to VISIT FLORIDA’s electronic travel newsletter that highlights special travel deals and upcoming events throughout the state.
