VISIT FLORIDA Embraces Twitter for “Ready, Set, Summer” Campaign

Ready, Set, SummerFollowing last month’s Digital Innovation Forum in California, VISIT FLORIDA and five Industry Partners turned learning into action by partnering with Twitter to promote the unofficial start of summer.  Yesterday, VISIT FLORIDA sponsored the Promoted Moment and Promoted Trend.  The “story” – #SummerStartsNow – in Florida, targeted all Twitter users in the United States.

PromotedTrend_pinned_tweet_desktop#SummerStartsNow showcased Florida’s diverse destinations, world-class attractions, award-winning accommodations and off-the-beaten-path activities through a series of tweets that showed people how to rule summer.  Participants included: Greater Miami CVB, Hollywood Office of Tourism, ResortQuest by Wyndham, Visit St. Pete/Clearwater and Busch Gardens Tampa.

Promoted Tweets were also running to drive Twitter users to the Moment.  Check out one example here.

Early results show Florida’s launch of summer delivered more than 80 million impressions.
