VISIT FLORIDA Participates in Brand USA India Mission

FullSizeRenderVISIT FLORIDA recently participated in the Brand USA India mission, which took place in Chennai, Mumbai and Delhi.  With 30 participating U.S. delegates, the mission attracted more than 700 travel agents.  The event included B2B meetings and networking dinners in each of the three cities.  

This year, Brand USA added a corporate Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) event in Goa, which enabled 22 Indian corporations the opportunity to meet with American delegates for networking and dinner.  This was the first annual Brand USA MICE Event held in Goa with the objective of attracting MICE groups from India to the U.S.

In addition, each year VISIT FLORIDA organizes an event in coordination with the Brand USA Mission to maximize our Partner’s exposure while in market.  This year, VISIT FLORIDA and six of our Partners coordinated a VIP Luncheon in New Delhi for 45 top travel agents, airline members and media.

Though India’s visitation to Florida is smaller than other international markets, the country offers significant potential as a future origin market.  India is the world’s second-most populous country and the second-fastest growing country for outbound departures.  In 2014, 50,000 Indians visited the Sunshine State spending roughly $79 million.
