VISIT FLORIDA Creates Different Kind of Winter-Inspired Promotions

The VISIT FLORIDA Promotions Department has partnered with Warner Bros. Pictures and media in key markets to create consumer promotions that send winners to experience behind-the-scenes tours at Florida’s own, Clearwater Marine Aquarium, home of Winter the dolphin, whose rescue and recovery inspired the 2011 hit movie “Dolphin Tale.”  The sequel, “Dolphin Tale 2,” continues the miraculous real-life story of Winter and her pals at the Aquarium.

The film, hitting theaters this Friday, September 12, reunites its original stars: Harry Connick Jr., Morgan Freeman, Ashley Judd, Kris Kristofferson, Nathan Gamble, Cozi Zuehlsdorff, Austin Stowell and, of course, Winter the dolphin.  To see the movie trailer, click here.

VISIT FLORIDA’s “Dolphin Tale 2” promotions in Baltimore, Boston, Charlotte, Hartford, Kansas City, Nashville and Philadelphia, as well as nation-wide promotions in both the United States and Canada, are expected to generate $1.2 million in media value and more than 16 million consumer impressions.  To hear one of the promotions, click here.

A national promotion with Dippin’ Dots, running until September 12, features the biggest prize package of all – Dippin’ Dots for a year, a private screening of “Dolphin Tale 2” and a trip to Clearwater.
