This week in Boston, the U.S. Travel Association held it’s annual Educational Seminar for Tourism Organizations (ESTO) conference. During the event, the winners of the National Council of State Tourism Directors (NCSTD) 2012 Mercury Awards were announced. I am pleased to announce that today VISIT FLORIDA and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection’s Florida Park Service launched the State Parks component of the Share a Little Sunshine campaign. The new campaign encourages Florida residents to invite friends and family to experience…the Real Florida by visiting its 160 state parks and historic sites and 11 state trails. Continue reading »

I’m proud to announce that today VISIT FLORIDA launched our newest social media-based campaign to increase awareness of Florida as a summer vacation destination. The campaign features “Florida’s Three for Free Giveaway” sweepstakes, where participants can enter to win a grand prize of three personally selected Florida vacation packages. In addition to the three-vacation grand prize, VISIT FLORIDA will award nine other single-vacation prizes.
